ADMIRING AN ARTIST • by Arun Ramakrishnan

His paintings liven up the music he can play,
on the vast canvas of skies; they give way
to the flight of twittering talents
flying above, fore the yellow sun,
like silhouettes floating atop the bay.
With one hand he paints,
with the others, he does a lot more.
Some call him, ”Jesus”
while others call him, ”Krishna of Yore.”
His boundless glory shines forth so much
he can never be told fully by any lore.

Arun Ramakrishnan is a budding poet, who’s presently doing his graduation in IT engineering in the Mumbai University. Apart from his technical studies, he’s also drawn to various art forms like painting , photography and poems. His favourite themes include Nature and Its beauty, a universal God, and Humanity.

Krishna’s paintings “give way to the flight of twittering talents”?

The rhythm of this poem is so tottering that it took a while to realize this poem has rhyme in it.

the twittering talents are the birds who are flying against the background which is Krishna’s painting…i.e a beautiful scenery…the sun…the sea…and horizon…

I find it a decent short, simple description.
