ALBUM INTRO • by Crystal Lane Swift

a stack of warm blueberry pancakes

topped with syrup and whipped cream

the scenic route

because you were nervous or too overly tired to think linearly

probably both

a soundtrack conceived in discussion of religion and politics

too taboo for anyone to protest

written in a day longer than either of us ever hope to live again

there is no reason for him not to leave

‘no hay ninguna razón para que no le déjà’

though far too short to satisfy

recorded in minds too complimentary to believe

mixed in a nudge made explicit by a comment that the waiter tried not to share

mastered in memories still being made

the significance of moments yet to be fully understood

maybe it’s the challenge of making you smile

or the complete comfort in your awkward goodbye

either way I’m glad this is only track one

Not fond of “probably both”. Also the line in Spanish.
But I think the effort is way above the usual linear efforts. Good show.

I quite like this…well, I’ve read it three times, so it must be having an effect! There seems to be a lot going on in this.
