Bare bones
scratch leaden sky
while keening winds lament
fallen crowns lost to November’s
chill touch.
A former laboratory technician turned home educator, Richard H. Fay now spends his days juggling various writing and art projects. He resides in Upstate New York with his wife, daughter, two cats, and a rather confused shepherd-chow mix. History, myth, legend, folklore, as well as the classics of fantasy, horror, and adventure literature all serve as inspiration for Richard’s creative endeavours. Many of the fruits of his labour have appeared in various ezines and print magazines.

Thank you for publishing it! I’m glad you liked it. I find the autumn to be inspirational, and I couldn’t pass up composing a November cinquain.

This is as crisp as the november breezes that blow through Southern India at this time of the year. But I have experienced colder novembers too elsewhere, and Autumnal Woodland Morn remind me of those too, crisply!Good poem!

Nice…imagery that immediately evokes the visual, and the emotional.

Couldn’t be truer than now.

tickling now to gooseflesh
shaking fingers
neath weeping
