After the age of seasons has cleared
the footprint of this neighborhood,
native plants will poke up,
feel the sun, and carry on conversations.

I love this little ‘thought’! The sentiments are beautiful; I shall always look at these ‘native plants’ with different eyes from now on!

Coincidence, when I was in the garden yesterday afternoon I cut out some blackthorn and blackberry and thought, when we are not longer here the land will revert back to its natural state. When I read this poem this morning I felt reasured by the persistance of nature.
