icy tears
fall silently
upon frozen ground
spring’s breath whispers, mocking
he huddles against the warmth
heart empty, his resistance melts
blackened eyes sink in freshly-formed mud
snowdrops hug the coal and reach for the sun

Enjoyable; a lovely taste of winter snow. I like the form – of the poem as well as the snowman!
