Fingers creep a spider’s graceful steps
Finger toward finger, hand toward hand,
locking.
His almond eyes smile in sarcasm,
he loves Tom Waits.
She is older, cynical, putting her
parts back together.
She tells him, this is the first time
she’s not been objectified.
He tells her she’s the first to treat
him as an adult.
They meet, in the middle
balanced, at peace.
Together.

There is probably some very important in-between and darkside meanings to this poem which I am unable to catch. Nevertheless I like it very much for its flowing rhythm. I like the way each separate addition to their introduction as characters has a separate substanza. I lean back, relaxed, among the hushed audience, waiting for its interrupted portent to continue revelation.

Wonderful poem, Ms. K! Where is this kind of thing in real life? Does it exist? Beautiful.
